Dynamic Brisbane duo launch RWC Gateway
After working together for almost a decade, commercial real estate team Jared Doyle and Jack Gwyn have taken their business to the next level, opening RWC Gateway.
A collective of leading industrial heavyweights specialising in the south-west Brisbane corridor have come together, striking a new partnership with Australasia’s largest real estate group to create Ray White Industrial Southwest.
Principal Luke Wray is no stranger to the Brisbane industrial scene, having kicked off his career in 2007 and quickly making himself a familiar name in the industry. Most recently, Mr Wray has built a successful team of agents underneath him at the Ray White Industrial Milton office.
Luke Wray’s brother Matt Wray will join him in the new business, alongside esteemed agent Jaems Balfour. The three have been working together since for close to ten years, making their mark on the key industrial precincts across Brisbane’s Southwest.
Sales and Leasing executives Harry Egan and Lachie Hale will also be moving across to the new business, having started with the team in 2017 and developed into strong performers in their respective markets.
“I am really proud of the team we have built, and the foothold we have achieved in our market share across Brisbane’s Southwest,” Luke Wray said.
“The reason for choosing Ray White to take this next step with, is because of the family values and history which underpins the group,” he said.
Mr Wray also acknowledged that his good friends and colleagues Stephen and Stephanie Ferguson brought the Wrays and their team into the Ray White Group back in 2016.
“The corporate support and technology offering is second to none, and we are thrilled to embrace the sheer scale of the Ray White brand and really make it our own,” he said.
The team, who have already been part of the Ray White group for five years, have experienced tremendous growth in their respective zones.
“We hope to steadily recruit and attract more talented team members, grow a thriving commercial rent roll, and further increase our market share across the Southwest,” Mr Wray said.
“We all have built our foundations in the industrial market however we also have experience in a diverse range of assets,”
“Jaems Balfour is supported by Lachie Hale, specialising in the Logan and Gold Coast Corridors.”
“The central South zone of areas like Rocklea, Coopers Plains and Acacia Ridge are serviced by Matt Wray and Harry Egan, as well as the Western Corridor precinct of Wacol, Richlands and surrounds ” he said.
“This next step will be to accelerate our growth even further, and I am looking forward to mentoring the next big players in Industrial real estate,” Mr Wray said.
The team have hopes of becoming a top 5 office in the Ray White Commercial group internationally, with Jaems Balfour playing a pivotal role in their success over the past few years.
“We are incredibly proud of Jaems’ progression since making a career switch from construction only six years ago,” Mr Wray said.
“He has accelerated quickly to regularly becoming a top 10 performer across the entire group, in a relatively short period of time, and we look forward to him taking on a leadership role as a Director in our new business.”
Mr Wray said that his team and clients have recently capitalised on an extreme boom in the Brisbane industrial market.
“After my 15 years in industrial sales and leasing, I have never seen a market so strong. It really is the preferred asset class among investors at the moment, and we don’t expect it to slow down anytime soon,” he said.
Ray White Commercial Head of Agency Operations Andrew Freeman said he was thrilled to welcome the familiar faces into their own new office.
“These five gentlemen are well established in their respective areas, as well as having worked as a cohesive and respected team for the past five years,” Mr Freeman said.
‘The depth of knowledge and experience in this team will undoubtedly bring a lot of success to them and their clients.”
“We are always looking for ambitious leaders to bring into our collection of 45 dedicated commercial offices around Australia and New Zealand. This is a major move for our commercial group to really hone in on our strength across south east Queensland.”
Mr Wray was previously with Wright Property (now Cushman Wakefield) before joining Ray White Commercial.
